This morning while I was trying to get beautiful Rick was sitting up front in the passenger seat drinking a cup of coffee. Two couples walked by the front of the motorhome and wanted to take a picture. Rick gave them the nod that it was alright to take his picture then went outside to visit with them They were from Switzerland and had rented a small RV to travel Route 66. They left from Chicago and were driving all the way to California taking about a month to do it. They were very nice and very interested in the tour of the outside compartments that Rick was giving them. I heard voices outside and had to see what was going on, thought Rick might have lost his mind and was talking to himself in strange voices. Of course I saw that we had company and had to invite them inside for a tour. I sure missed Cindy and Bobbie cleaning up the kitchen while I gave my tour. Ha! Ha! One of the women wanted to sit in the drivers seat and was just giddy at all the gadgets. They were all very nice, anyway I guess they were, while I was showing them around and back into the bedroom they were pointing to things and chatting in a language I could not understand, they spoke very little english and I speak no Swiss ( we don't even know what language they speak) anyway they could have been saying any kind of rude things to me but I didn't know the difference. This is a picture of one of the women.
Rick is not decorating the windows for Christmas, he's doing his thing cleaning the bugs off.
We miss you Bev, you were so good at this on our other trips.
We drove through Missouri and into Illinois to spend the night in a KOA in Benton, Il. We drove past miles and miles of fields full of some kind of crops. I think they should put signs out by the highway telling us city slickers what they are growing. There was something that looked like corn but we don't think it was, have no idea.
We rested for a bit then I started to cook dinner, was making stir fry but found the rice I had in the pantry was old and smelled a bit like the laquer in the cabinets. (You can ask Bev Baskins how yummy that is.) So we ordered pizza delivered instead. While I was doing my thing inside my wonderful handy man found a job outside cleaning the windshield. However, he didn't spend all afternoon cleaning he found other things to do:
It's a tough life but somebodies gotta do it.
I am just going on and on, you guys are gonna hate that I started this thing.
We got a pleasant surprise, Bev and Pam are coming to visit us while we are at Niagra Falls, I'm looking forward to that. Poor Rick, having to live in this tin can full of estrogen for 4 days.
Hope everyone is having a good week.
Until tomorrow I bid you a good night!
love mk

If any man is capable of handling all that estrogen, it's the handyman. Sounds like you guys are having a great time. I laughed when I read about the laquer flavored rice. Yum-Yum! Missed you at church today. Mischelle and Shannon did praise team today and they did a good job. The choir sang that song, don't know the exact title, but "I'm desperate for You" is repeated several times. Love it. Can't wait for your next post.
ReplyDeleteDidn't your mother ever teach you not to talk to strangers... especially those that don't speak english!! he he... just kidding. That was nice of you to let them in your RV to look around! Love reading your posts... keep'em comin : )
