We're Still Around

It's been a while since I have been able to post a blog, I could not believe that we were just across the harbor from NYC and did not have internet services. We were in Jersey City,NJ last week, camping at Liberty Harbor Marina and RV Park. There's a ferry at the marina that goes to Manhattan Island. We are parked in a space that faces a large parking lot for commuters. It is like watching the tide come in and out, the parking lot completely fills up in the morning and by nightfall it empties out again. It was empty all weekend.

 We could see the Statue of Liberty and a bit of Ellis Island from the park. It was interesting driving those big ole buses through the congested street of the city.  The highways aren't much better. You can not believe all the traffic and all the people. I could not live in those conditions. 169 is a walk in the park compared to the conditions around here.  We enjoyed the major attractions, went to a Broadway show, Legally Blonde, took a bus tour of NYC and walked and walked and walked some more.  We used the subway system to get around some.

Tonight we're just 10 miles away from the Capital in Washington D.C.  We had dinner tonight and then drove into DC to see it at night. This is the only night we will be here, tomorrow we are going to Williamsburg, VA. Rick and I have tried 2 or 3 other times to get there but were prevented by some disaster or another. Hopefully tomorrow we'll make it.
