Busy Summer

We started off our summer with the birth of this little guy, Luke on June 8th.
Macey is loving on her little brother,
big brother won't stand still long enough for her to love on him.

Here at about 5 weeks of age, he's getting a little Papaw time

Then towards the end of June we helped Richard and DeNae move. This is a shot from an upstairs bedroom of Richard unloading one of the vehicles.

Their pretty house. It's so pretty I could live there but they won't let me.

DeNae and Rick taking break from all the moving.
Caitin found they had a visitor in the pool.
Blake taking a tour of his new pool.
Madi showing Caitin a few tricks while Blake rides around on his trike.

Cassie came up to see us and bring Wyatt for the week, while she was here she had her good friend give Warren his first haircut. It's not so evident in these pics but that boys hair was long and wild. It measured 3 inches on top and he is just 3 months old.
Logan getting acquainted with his little cousin.

Audra working her magic, I'm holding Warren so Cassie could take pictures and supervise the cut. Audra also gave Wyatt his first haircut a couple years ago.
Beautiful momma and Warren sporting his new doo, which by the way has already grown out. These pics were taken July 3rd so he's had some grow time since then.

A huge "thank you" to Ashlee Osborn for getting in the pool with Wyatt because Mamaw would not be seen in public in a swim suit. We kept Wyatt while Russell and Cassie went to youth camp. While we had him we went to a friends house to celebrate her parents 60th Anniversary, the party was at the pool house and I knew Wyatt would just have to get in the water so I went prepared, notice the life jacket and floaties, I just wasn't prepared or willing to get in the water but sweet Ashlee offered to get in with him, he had a blast and made a life long friend in his beautiful life guard and later fishing partner. I can't express how grateful I was to Ashlee for watching him for us. That boy loves the water and has no fear of it, which is scary.

Wyatt got to ride in the motorhome when we took him back to Texas. He really thought that was fun, especially when he needed to go to the bathroom and we didn't have to stop and find one to let him go. We spent a week in Sulphur Springs helping Russell and Cassie with a few minor repairs around their house. We really enjoyed the week with them. They are in transition right now, looking for a new job and placing their house for sale, so pray for them when you think of it. God has big plans for them, they just need to find out what they are.

  1. A post full of the grands. What could be better? Oh, I know. A post full of grands plus Ashlee!
Love Richard and Danae's new home. Their very own resort.
What a busy summer you've had.

  2. Warren and Luke seem like two peas in a pod with all that gorgeous hair. Logan and Macey need to stop growing up; makes me sad. Caitin cracks me up, holding that toad. I am glad she, Blake, and Madi are enjoying their new house.

No need to thank me for swimming with Wyatt. It was fun! All of your grandkids are very cute and well behaved.
