Pam, I can receive e-mail but have not been able to reply, the service we are using won't work on outgoing mail, so in response to your question about the bikes, they are "Specialized" brand, they are a comfort bike with shock absorbers built into the frame. The tires are wide to allow us to ride on pavement, dirt and occasionally gravel. We bought them at Bicycles of Tulsa on Mingo at about 46th St. When you get one we'll go riding. I sure enjoyed watching you and Bev have a good time on them.
We went to church this morning at the only baptist church we could find in town, Lake Placid Baptist. It is a small church and the pastor is probably in his early 30's. We were in his SS class also. The music was praise and worship, we were familiar with all the songs, the class and message were very good. His message was from Philippians 4, of course we've heard many messages from that passage before but he came at it with a little different perspective and we really enjoyed the service.
We've been lazy again this afternoon and evening. It has been cloudy and raining all day so, it has been a good lazy napping day. We leave in the morning for New Hampshire, should be there about a week and then on to Maine for a week.
Well, that's about all I have to say without going on and on and totally boring you so I'll say good night to you all.
Love you all
mk

Thanks for the bike info. Glad you enjoyed your church service. We've been getting hit hard on adjusting your attitude and today it was about being critical. Ouch! I'd like to complain about it, but I can't because of the last few weeks of preaching. Told pastor tonight that he was really cramping my style! We had an afterglow/food pounding tonight for the McAlisters. It was a pretty good turnout. Hey, are you aware that they are expecting a rare hurricane to hit Maine? It's hurricane Kyle. Figures you would be one the east coast when something rare happens! I don't think it's going to be bad, though. Steve told me about it. Oh, one last thing, I saw your dad this morning and sang happy birthday to him. The last part instead of saying happy birthday I sang "you don't look 81 or act like it either". I think he got a kick out of it. Hopefully, he's a little hard of hearing so my singing didn't hurt too much!
ReplyDeleteSo, I go get the mail today and what was in it? A card from you! Thanks for thinking about me when you saw the dressed up dog on the front of the card. What a hoot! Guess what I was doing at Target Friday night? Yep, trying to figure out if Preston could fit into a kid size costume. I know, I'm crazy. Miss you guys. Can't wait for your next blog update.
