Boomer Sooner Saturday evening

We've had dinner and are now watching the OU football game. The second half just started. Beverly made a strawberry cobbler that we enjoyed with ice cream during half time. Sorry you're not here to share it with us. Earlier today Rick and I made it to the grocery store, I made him stop and take a couple pictures because it seems that every day a little more color is added to the leaves.

Logan called us this morning and his team won the football game 25 X 6. It was so good to hear his voice. Our call got cut short because we lost cell service.  Sometimes we get it here in the motorhome sometimes we don't.

This is a view from the road just outside a ski resort.  It misted rain yesterday and gently rained most of the night. It didn't rain today but was cloudy. I thought the clouds were pretty against the green and red mountain.

Sunday the 28th is my dads birthday so if you see him tell him his daughter said "Hi and Happy Birthday"!  He's 81 years young. I sent him a card telling him he's the youngest old man I know. I count on him staying around forever.

Enjoy your Sunday. Thank God for your blessings and even the challenges, He's growing you.

Love you all,
mk

  1. BOOMER. . . wait for it. . . SOOOOOONNNNERRRR! Who's #1? Well the Sooners, that's who. Steve just told me the Sooners will have the record for most weeks of being #1 after today. They will finally go ahead of Notre Dame. Woohoo! That's sweet. Love, love, love the photos of the changing colors. The red trees against the green is so pretty. Glad you talked to Logan. Probably made you miss him more, though! Hang in there, Mamaw, you'll be home soon.

  2. Oh, I forgot to add, strawberry cobbler? I don't think I've ever had strawberry cobbler. Sounds good, though. I love strawberries.

  3. Marilyn, Bobbie sent me your blog address because of the pretty fall pictures you posted...it is BEAUTIFUL! She loved them too, I will try to teach her how to comment on your blog when we see her this weekend.

Back to the pictures, I so enjoyed them. We do not see pretty fall colors down here in Houston and that is one thing I really do miss seeing. I am not sure though if Oklahoma's fall colors are that vibrant and beautiful. God's creation is just beautiful!

Enjoy your trip. I will follow your blog now.

    Love,
    Cara
