Blue Ridge Parkway

Today we drove down the Blue Ridge Parkway, it is a beautiful drive. It seems that we are being followed by fall colors. We've been fortunate to hit each location at the right time to see the foliage.

These are just a few pictures we took today, some of them I took while driving down the road, you'll see what it's like to sit in the passenger seat of this big ole bus.

We weren't able to pull off the road many places because the pull outs were not large enough for one motorhome and tow much less two. We were able to stop a couple places and these pictures were taken from trails we walked to get these view.

The next two I took as we were traveling. I wish you could see it with your own eyes because these pictures just don't do it justice.

Tomorrow we are going to a place called Natural Bridge, it is one of the seven natural wonders of the world. We actually went there tonight, at night they take you to the bridge and you sit on benches on one side of the bridge and they play a recording of a man reading the account of the first 4 days of creation, then we walked to the other side of the bridge and heard the last 3 days and the Lord's Pray sung. There was a light display during the reading. It was beautiful but we weren't able to get any photos at night. We'll get some in the morning. After we go to the bridge we plan to get back on the Parkway and travel it for several more miles.   Don't know where we'll call home tomorrow night.
