Gulf Coast Drive

Tuesday we woke up in Navarre, Florida, traveled through Alabama, Mississippi and are spending the night in Lafayette, Louisiana. We drove on hiway 98 along the gulf shore most of the way. There is water everywhere, either in the gulf or swamps and bayous. It is easy to see how homes were totally lost in the hurricanes. It is amazing how much property and homes are for sale down here.

We drove across one stretch of road that was virtually a bridge over swamp land for about 18 miles. Don't have much to say about it all so enjoy the pics.

Enjoying a bit of lunch at a really nice rest stop.

Just wanna say Hi y'all!

This pic is in honor of Beverly B. we miss her on our trips. She is the best window washer.

It's our intention to get to Sulphur Springs, Tx on Wednesday night. Wonder what we'll do there. Probably be there a day or two then on home.

  1. Finally a photo of you. Love the song choice - was it your idea or Rick's? I bet you're itching to get to Sulphur Springs so you can love on the boy. Have fun. :)
