Niagara Fall, NY

The weather has been beautiful here. Sometimes a little cool but warm enough that we have been able to eat dinner outside every evening.  This particular evening we had grilled chicken, fresh corn on the cob, fresh tomatoes and homemade salsa.  There is a little produce stand down the road from us that has some of the best fresh produce I've seen.  We've made several trips there to stock up.  You can see we're enjoying the food and fellowship.  Of course when you're with this group someone is always being picked on, most often it's me or Pam.  But we're big girls and we can take it.  We can also dish it out.

We had a great time with Pam and Beverly, they seemed to have fun too. I'll show you a couple pics to prove it.

Here they are dressed fashionably in their yellow bird ponchos at The Cave of the Winds. That's the Maid of the Mist in the background. Which we road later in the day, this time in a blue rain poncho. Aren't they cute little peeps.

This is Beverly and Pam taking a bike ride around the park before they had to leave for the airport.  What you can't tell by looking at this picture is that Beverly was taking video of Pam as they were riding along.  You have never heard or seen such silliness in your life. These two have fun together.
After they left we've took a few hours to relax and just hang out around the camp.  Today we went to Fort Niagara and to the Robert Moses Power Plant.

This is the Power Plant, the one on the left side is the Canadian plant and on the right is the American plant. The Niagara River divides these two countries.

I've been working on this thing for a while now, posting pictures and then losing them somehow and I'm getting tired and disgusted with it.  The internet here is pretty slow and unreliable so maybe that's my problem, surely I'm not doing anything wrong to cause this. You may have missed one of my posts, it's on the blog just before the anniversary one, but I think it may be overlooked, so check it out too.  I'm going to go get some sleep. We're going to a little church in Tonawanda in the morning.  It's been interesting visiting different churches.  None so far compare to ours. Visit with you later.

Love to all

  1. I had such a great time in Niagara Falls. Couldn't have asked for better company, weather, activities, food, etc! If I hadn't just heard a sermon on contentment this morning, I might have to be a little jealous of your trip. I love the photos-almost like being there. Told everybody at church today what good hosts you and Rick are and I think people are lining up for their turn. Ha! Everyone misses you. You'll have to let us know about your church services in Tonowanda.
